Clients have told me that my style is quiet and unassuming - I prefer to document events as they unfold, rather than heavily direct them.  My images are relaxed, natural and timeless, capturing the essence and atmosphere that create the memories of a special occasion.  They tell a story of a point in time, about relationships and emotions.

I have been able to pursue a lifelong ambition as a professional  photographer since a career change from commercial flying in 2004.  I live in Buckinghamshire with my wife Geraldine & our chocolate labrador Frankie.  This base is ideal for coverage of events throughout the Southeast, but commissions have taken me much further afield.

Photographing people - whether it be weddings, portraits or music is a privilege that keeps me whistling on my way to work.

Some comments from Clients

"Martin was a fantastic photographer. On the day he took some absolutely stunning photos of us and our guests whilst incorporating the beautiful surroundings.  He was very unobtrusive -  part of the day but very much in the background.

We  have spent hours enjoying the album and it has far exceeded all our expectations. We really shall treasure it in our future together.  We couldn't recommend Martin any higher - the photos we have really do recreate the day for us."

Dom and Sarah - Wedding at Homme House, Herefordshire

"Martin is without doubt the best photographer we’ve had in 16 years of running festivals. Aside from his obvious technical ability and eye for a great picture, his unassuming charm, gentle humour and genuine interest in his subjects help him break down barriers and get access to the best shots.

Whether backstage with international artists, or out among festival audiences, he is always professional and always a gentleman. "

Kieran Gilmore, Director, Open House Festival

"Just wanted to say a very big thank you for taking such wonderful photos of our wedding - they are brilliant and really capture the essence of our truly perfect day."

Sally and Mark - Wedding at The Oxfordshire Golf Club

"Ours was a small and intimate family wedding where it was unlikely that a photographer could be unobtrusive; yet Martin merged easily with the group and his calm and inconspicuous approach to the day resulted in some really beautiful photographs of a truly memorable day. "

"WOW, the photos are truly amazing. There isn't a single one I don't like. You have captured everything. THANK YOU SO MUCH, they are fantastic. Everyone I show them to asks who did the photography -  they have been a real hit."

Beth & James - Wedding at Watergate Bay Hotel, Cornwall

"... just wanted to say a big thank you for taking such fantastic photos and for making us feel so special."

Leoni & Pete - Wedding at Woodstock Town Hall

We are forever grateful to Martin who stepped in at the last minute to photograph our wedding in extremely snowy conditions when our original photographer cancelled.  Having had no contact before the wedding due to this turn of events we were extremely pleased to have a reliable and extremely professional photographer who was able to capture the events of the day so well.  From the whole family shots to the smaller details, he provided a great range of photos of the day.  He carefully chose each setting in the church and around the reception venue to capture the best shots.  After a very stressful wedding day due to the snow, Martin's photos were simply stunning which mean we can smile about it now!
